As an HCA employee, you may need to access the HCAhrAnswers portal to get the information you need. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you log in and access the resources available on the portal.

Accessing the Portal on a Non-Shared PC (Work or Home)

Using an off-site PC or tablet at Home

To access the portal on a non-shared PC at work or home, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your web browser and go to HCAhrAnswers.com.
  2. Enter your 3-4 ID and network password on the “Federation Identity” screen.
  3. Click the “Sign In” button.
  4. You’re now logged into the portal and can access the resources available. If you don’t know your 3-4 ID, don’t hesitate to ask your manager or leader for assistance.

Accessing the Portal on a Dedicated PC at Work

If you’re using a dedicated PC at work, you can access the portal through single sign-on (SSO). Here’s how:

  1. Open your web browser and go to HCAhrAnswers.com.
  2. If you’re already logged into the HCA network, you will be automatically logged in.
  3. If not, enter your 3-4 ID and network password on the “Federation Identity” screen.
  4. Once logged in, you can access all the resources available on the portal.

Accessing the Portal on a Shared Computer Terminal

If you’re using a shared computer terminal, you can still access the portal by following these steps:

Scenario 1: If your computer doesn’t have an HCAHRAnswers button on the single sign-on toolbar:

  1. Open any supported browser and go to HCAhrAnswers.com.
  2. Use the portal to access the resources you need.
  3. Click the “Logout” tab in the top right corner when you’re finished.
  4. Close the browser session by clicking the “X” in the top right corner of your screen.

Scenario 2: If your computer has an HCAHRAnswers button on the single sign-on toolbar:

  1. Click on the HCAHRAnswers button.
  2. Use the portal to access the resources you need.
  3. Click the “Logout” tab in the top right corner when you’re finished.
  4. Close the browser session by clicking the “X” in the top right corner of your screen.

Scenario 3: If you want to access the portal on a shared computer that no one else is logged into:

  1. Go to HCAhrAnswers.com.
  2. Enter your HCA network User ID (3-4 ID) and password.
  3. Click the “Sign In” button.
  4. Use the portal to access the resources you need.
  5. When you’re finished, click the “Logout” tab in the top right corner.
  6. Close the browser session by clicking the “X” in the top right corner of your screen.

Note: Always remember to log out when you exit a shared computer to ensure that your user session is completely closed, and no one else can access it.

Accessing the Portal from a Mobile Device

You can also access the portal from your mobile device by following these simple steps:

  1. Open any supported browser on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. Go to the HCAhrAnswers page on the HCA website.
  3. If available, click the link for mobile access and follow the login instructions.
  4. Use the portal to access the resources you need.

  • Please note that certain resources or tools may not be available on the mobile version of the portal, so you may need to use a non-mobile device to access all functions.
  • Please keep in mind that HCA healthcare will not cover any costs associated with accessing the HR Answers Portal from a mobile device. Please ensure that you are aware of any applicable fees before accessing the portal through your mobile device.
